National Stock Exchange reported a fresh 52-week low on Tuesday. Amtek Auto, Andhra Cements, Birla Cotsyn, Clariant Chemicals, Electrosteel Steels, Farmax India, HEG Ltd, Hindalco Industries, Jindal Drilling and Industries, Jyoti Structures, Kaya Ltd, Maharasthra Seamless, Nakoda, Nirvikara paper Mills, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Religare Enterprises, Vimal Oil & Foods and Vishesh Infotecnics were the stocks that hit 52-week low. On Tuesday, the NSE Nifty opened 28.55 points higher at 8505.85. However, the 50-share benchmark index settled the day 10.75 points lower at 8466.55. Selling pressure was seen in metal, pharma and realty stocks. The CNX Metal index, CNX Pharma and CNX Realty index dipped 1.74 per cent, 0.84 per cent and 0.39 per cent to 1,909.10, 12,980 and 179.70, respectively. The India VIX (Volatility) index declined by 0.62 percent to 16.3600 on Tuesday.
